SASEtank provides us an opportunity to take Uptick outside of the University of Rochester. The judges of the competition come from a varied background and provide invaluable feedback and support. Being a competitor in SASEtank has provided us many opportunities as well as the motivation to challenge ourselves.

We believe every student deserves to call college their home. By using cutting-edge technology and the communities around us, Uptick aims to provide a cost-effective alternative to buying and selling products.
An average college student spends $900+ to turn a dorm room into a livable space. Uptick’s marketplace offers gently used products that will get you through your four years of college. By eliminating production costs, Uptick can reduce general costs by up to 40%.
In addition to reducing costs, Uptick also helps the environment. Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) deplete the ozone layer and are a major contributor to global warming. Refrigerators and other common household items emit CFCs, especially when they are not properly recycled. By connecting people, Uptick eliminates the need to manufacture and trash products that take hours of labor and energy to produce.
