TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOB.
As a Podiatric Surgical Resident Physician, I treat both hospital in-patients and private practice patients for various conditions. Working with surgeons and medical specialists, we practice everything from sports medicine to reconstructive foot surgeries to podiatric medicine.

WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE YOUR CURRENT JOB?
I was a PD R&D Engineer for the startup, Essential Medical, Inc., where I worked to develop a vascular closure device. The company was acquired last fall by Teleflex. I was a former advisory member to the Philadelphia Chambers of Commerce. As an undergrad and young professional, I also served various roles in SASE! I was the Co-Founder of the SASE Drexel Chapter, and later served as the President of SASE Philly Pro.

WHY IS ENTREPRENEURSHIP IMPORTANT?
Entrepreneurship is everywhere in life disguised, whether it’s through networking, marketing a product, or branding your company. SASE has greatly helped me expand my network, thereby expanding my social capital. SASEtank specifically is a great way to exercise the essence of innovation. Sharing your ideas and progress to the greater SASE community is an excellent way to learn as well as advance the general community as a whole.

WHY IS MENTORSHIP IMPORTANT?
Each mentor provides differing insights and advice. As I continue to develop my career, I’m continuously seeking for more. Through mentorship, I’ve received support and constructive guidance and grown in ways I never expected. Due to my positive experience, I enjoy returning the favor and being a mentor for those within my community.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING?
I love tinkering with things and learning about new technologies. A great pastime of mine is assembling miniature 3D sculptures, both metal and wooden. In addition, I’m a foodie and secretly enjoy neotraditional country music. My favorite TV shows are Game of Thrones, WestWorld, and Criminal Minds.
