Selection Process
These awards were established to recognize SASE collegiate chapters that serve as a role model of inspiration, growth, and creativity while exemplifying the three core mission statements of SASE for the 2019-2020 school year. The three pillars of SASE are to:
- - Prepare Asian heritage students for success in the global business world.
- - Celebrate diversity and tolerance on campuses and in the workplace.
- - Provide opportunities for its members to make contributions to their local communities.

Relevant Dates
Deadline to apply: May 31st, 2020
The collegiate team must submit an application before midnight for consideration
Winners notified: July 1st, 2020
SASE board members and the collegiate team will vote on award winners
NC Info submission: August 1st, 2020
Winners agree to submit information required by the National Conference committee
National Conference: October 8th, 2020
Winners will be announced and awarded at National Conference
Award Categories
The awards will be distributed in the following categories. There will be one (1) winning chapter per category.
Overall Strongest Chapter
This category will be awarded to the chapter with outstanding contributions and advancement of SASE’s three core mission statements. The chapter must exhibit sustainability for at least 1 year. This award recipient will receive:
- - $600 prize
- - Award trophy with an inscription
- - Recognition at the SASE national conference
- - Article and Photo recognition in the SASE magazine
Outstanding New Chapter
This category will be awarded to a chapter that has been active for less than 2 consecutive years. This chapter must exemplify outstanding contributions and advancement of SASE’s three core mission statements. This award recipient will receive:
- - $500 prize
- - Award trophy with an inscription
Most Improved Chapter
This category will be awarded to the chapter that has displayed the most growth, change, and improvement over the past school year. This award recipient will receive:
- - $500 prize
- - Award trophy with an inscription
- - Recognition at the SASE national conference
- - Article and Photo recognition in the SASE magazine
Most Influential Chapter
This category will be awarded to the chapter that has made a positive influence in their community, region, and/or nation. This award recipient will receive:
- - $500 prize
- - Award trophy with an inscription
- - Recognition at the SASE national conference
- - Article and Photo recognition in the SASE magazine
Most Philanthropic Chapter
This category will be awarded to the chapter that has demonstrated and embodies the spirit of service within their chapter, community, region, and/or nation.
- - $500 prize
- - Award trophy with an inscription
- - Recognition at the SASE national conference
- - Article and Photo recognition in the SASE magazine
Honorable Mentions
Honorable mention chapters from the categories above will receive:
- - $200 prize
- - Award plaque with an inscription
- - Recognition at the SASE national conference
Stipulations
If your chapter wins one/both of these Awards, your chapter must:
- Agree to be featured in the National SASE magazine by submitting a short written summary of your chapter activities
- Share chapter best practices by completing the following:
- Create an informational YouTube video that also highlights your chapter's success (3-4 min max)
- Submit a blog entry to be featured in SASEPrints sharing what has contributed to your chapter’s success and/or what tips would you give to a younger SASE chapter
- Note: video/ blog will not be a part of the decision making process.
