Tony recently graduated from ASU with a B.S.E in Chemical engineering and will be working on his M.S degree in Chemical engineering and expected to graduate in Spring 2017. He is Vietnamese American born in Monterey Park, California, but was raised and lived in Tempe, Arizona, his entire life. He began his journey in SASE of beginning his first year as the President of ASU-SASE chapter. Tony’s leadership experience and dedication to SASE is reflected on his personality and passion to help others. He hopes to continue passing down his knowledge to others and help continue to build the West Region to its fullest potential. Aside from his commitment to SASE, research, school, family, and other extracurricular, you will find Tony catching up on his sleep, hiking, playing tennis or basketball, eating, playing games, watching shows and movies on Netflix, or spending time with his friends.
Allen graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz in June 2016 with a B.S. in Computer Science. He will be joining Lockheed Martin as a Software Engineer in late 2016. Allen is Taiwanese-American born in Monterey Park, California and raised in San Jose, California. He has been involved with SASE at UC Santa Cruz since 2012. He was the Event Planning Coordinator before becoming President for two years. In addition, Allen also held Secretary and Chair positions in Association for Computing Machinery at UC Santa Cruz. On his free time, he keeps up with the latest and greatest in tech and politics, eats good food, and explores new places.
Christopher graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Computer Science in 2016 and a MS in Computer Science and Engineering in 2017. While at the University of Washington, he served on SASE UW’s executive board for five school years as a General Officer, Member Relations Coordinator, Vice President, Senior Advisor, and President. Outside of SASE, he was also a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant with the CS department, and spent time mentoring many underclassmen. Christopher grew up in Asia, spending his childhood in Hong Kong, Taipei, and Shanghai before eventually coming to the United States for college. He currently works at Google as a Software Engineer in the Bay Area.
Daniel graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 2017, where he was on SASE UW’s executive board for each of his 3 years. At UW, Daniel was also involved in EcoCar3, SEAL [Sensors, Energy, & Automation Laboratory], UW Dept. of EE, UW Dept. of CSE, IEEE, and other research labs and campus organizations. He enjoys watching basketball, building robots, and buying milk tea. Currently, he works at Amazon (Alexa) in Seattle and serves SASE as a West Regional Coordinator.
Sara graduated from Cooper Union in 2017 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, and she will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering at UC Berkeley. Sara is a co-founder of the Cooper SASE chapter and has served as president of the chapter. She has lived on the East Coast in NY for most of her life, and she is excited to be on the West Coast. She is looking forward to her continued involvement with SASE as a Regional Coordinator, help chapters grow and spread the SASE mission further. During her free time, she enjoys jogging, hiking, exploring the outdoors, and trying new food places.
Claire is the former 2015-2017 chapter president for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas SASE chapter. Claire is currently majoring in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Claire is interested in photography, swimming, travelling, robotics, and technology. When Claire is not working, she enjoys spending time with her dog and loved ones, playing sports, and watching shows like Doctor Who and Sherlock.
