Co-Founder and President
Shekhar Mitra currently serves as Premium Consulting Partner at YourEncore, Inc and President of Innopreneur LLC, a global new venture and leadership development consultancy. Prior to this, Shekhar served as the Senior Vice President of Global Innovation for Procter & Gamble and was a member of top executive team, Global Leadership Council. He was on the ground in China starting P&G’s well-recognized global innovation center in Beijing, and led the start of the strategic partnership with Government of India’s Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR).
Sanjay Correa retired after 36 years at General Electric, most recently as the Vice President for Industrialization in the Aircraft Engine business. Over the course of his career, he led Research and Engineering teams and was responsible for manufacturing plants in the US, Europe, India, China and Japan. He also led GE’s Asian Pacific American Forum (APAF), comprising some 7,000 employees in the US. APAF, like SASE, helps its members to be the best that they can be through self-awareness, networking, tools and training. Sanjay holds BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and has served on numerous University and Joint Venture Boards. He enjoys flying small planes, reading astrophysics, and a daily workout - especially when it’s over.
Co-Founder and Secretary
After 23 years with Procter & Gamble, Tom has left to pursue the American dream of being an entrepreneur. He left P&G as Associate Director of Purchases, Capability, and Strategy. He joined P&G in 1989 in Purchases and has held positions of increasing responsibility in External Manufacturing, Chemicals, New Business Development, and Business Services. This includes his last two positions, where he was the first leader of P&G’s over $1 billion Global Energy Strategy and P&G Purchases Acquisition and Divestiture efforts. Tom has been active in Organizational Development at P&G since 1989, including a broadening assignment as Recruiting Manager of Product Supply, where he had oversight to hire over 600 for P&G’s Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Service and Logistics needs.
Tabrez Malik is currently CFO, Engineered Solutions, Industrial Solutions, GE Energy Connections. Tabrez joined GE in 2002 on the Operation Management Leadership Program (OMLP) with GE Transportation after having completed an internship program with GE in 2001. Following his graduation from OMLP, Tabrez joined GE Aviation as Technical Risk Analyst. He subsequently went on to serve on Corporate Audit Staff for two years and, upon graduation, joined the GE Oil and Gas (O&G) division as Project Finance Manager. He also spent 2 years in Aberdeen, Scotland, running Financial Planning & Analysis as FP&A Director for Upstream Services business.
Kishore Sundararajan is the Global Engineering Leader for GE’s Measurement & Control business. GE Measurement & Control is a leading innovator in advanced, sensor-based measurement; non-destructive testing and inspection; flow and process control; turbine, generator, and plant controls; and condition monitoring. Kishore brings 25+ years of experience leading multi-functional, multi-cultural teams across Chemicals, Oil & Gas, Metals, Minerals & Mining and, Pulp & Paper industries. He brought unyielding integrity to all his work by fostering an environment in which project execution is enhanced through focus on safety, supply chain, and quality.
Ajay Mehta has worked at Shell for 21 years mainly in its exploration and production division. He leads a global group of engineers, scientists and researchers dedicated to developing more and cleaner energy solutions for the future. Ajay holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India, a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum-Refining from the Colorado School of Mines, and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management.
Srinivas is currently the Director of Product Supply for P&G Global Grooming Business that includes some of P&G’s iconic brands - Gillette, Braun, Venus and The Art of Shaving. Srinivas is responsible for Global Innovation and Supply Network Operations. Srinivas led the Asian American affinity network for P&G Product Supply from 2006 until 2009 and also served as a member on the Asian American Leadership Team for the company. Srinivas graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he serves as the Executive Sponsor for P&G Recruiting.
Lea Hurley is a leader in the Navy Marine Corps (NMC) account focused on serving Marine Corps clients from Europe to Asia. She leads the NMC Cyber Functional Management Team and serves as the Location General Manager (LGM) for NMC facilities in Washington DC, Arlington, VA, and Stafford VA. Lea has 18 years of combined experience in cybersecurity, 15 of those at Booz Allen. Prior to her current role, she drove strategic investment activities focused on integrating the firm’s resources to grow and transform the defense business. She also led internal cybersecurity talent development initiatives and the integration of all cybersecurity-related investments.
Shweta Kurvey-Mishra, is the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at ITW where she is leading the efforts to attract, engage, develop and retain diverse talent that will help ITW continue to be a best in class operator, build solid growth and bring in strong returns. Prior to her current role, Shweta has been in several HR business partner roles supporting Corporate, Automotive and Polymers & Fluids segments at ITW. She completed her Bachelors in Commerce (Business) from University of Mumbai in India and came to the US to earn her Masters in Organizational Communication and Masters in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University.
Membership RepresentativeKristina (Kristi) Horita works for the Boeing Company in St. Louis Missouri as a Product Review Engineer supporting the F/A-18 Program. In previous positions, she has supported supplier parts and subassembly production for F-15, AV-8B, C-17, K-135 Programs. This past year, she was the Boeing – Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) Midwest Regional Site Lead, Boeing Asian American Professional Association – St. Louis President, and REACH St. Louis Leadership Team Development Day Lead.
