When can I apply for the scholarships?

The application process will be open on  March 3, 2017.

When is the application deadline?

The deadline for applying for the SASE Scholarships is  June 2, 2017 at 11:59 pm PST.

I missed the Scholarship application deadline. Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, we do not accept late applications.

When will the Scholars be notified?

We will announce the recipients of this year’s scholarships on June 23, 2017.

Is there a minimum GPA requirement?

For the Kellogg’s scholarship, all applicants must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

For the Shekhar and Anu Mitra Family Fund, there is no GPA requirement.

Do I have to be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for a scholarship?

All applicants must be a United States Citizen or have a permanent residency status that allows the applicant to qualify.

I was one of the SASE Scholarships award recipients last year. Am I eligible to apply again?

Previous SASE Scholarship Program recipients are not eligible for this year’s scholarship.

I am a Graduate Student. Am I allowed to apply?

Unfortunately, only undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the Kellogg’s Scholarship.

Is there a fee to apply?

No, there are no fees to apply to the SASE Scholarships.

Are paper applications accepted?

Everything must be submitted online, including resumes and recommendation letters.

Is the application process completely online?

Yes. All supporting documents, including unofficial transcripts, resumes and recommendation letters must be submitted online. Students must log into saseconnect.org to gain access to the scholarship application page. Applications can be review, edit, or resubmit through 11:59pm PST on June 2, 2017.

What does the scholarship pay for?

Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and room and board.
